“Deadpool & Wolverine” (2024) is a wild, irreverent ride that brings together two of Marvel’s most beloved anti-heroes in a film that is as chaotic as it is entertaining. Directed by Shawn Levy, this movie marks the first official crossover of Deadpool into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and it does so with a bang. Plot and Characters The film kicks off with Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) being recruited by the Time Variance Authority (TVA) to help safeguard the multiverse. His mission leads him to team up with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), who has been living a relatively peaceful life since the events of “Logan.” The duo is tasked with stopping a new existential threat, Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin), the malevolent twin sister of Charles Xavier.
