Reacher Season 2 Episode 2 Recap:

The episode begins with Reacher and Neagley arriving in Atlantic City, where they meet up with O'Donnell and Dixon, two other members of the 110th Special Investigations unit. They are investigating the murder of Franz, another member of their team, who was thrown out of a helicopter by unknown assailants. They learn that Franz had a briefcase full of cash, which he won at a casino, and that he was tracked down by a mysterious woman named Swan, who works for a powerful crime boss named David.

Reacher and his friends decide to infiltrate the casino where Franz played, posing as high rollers. They manage to get access to the VIP room, where they encounter Swan and David, who are also playing. Reacher recognizes Swan as an old flame from his past, who he met in Germany when they were both in the military. He also realizes that David is the son of a notorious arms dealer, who Reacher had a run-in with years ago.

Reacher tries to get close to Swan, hoping to get some information from her, but she is wary of him. She tells him that she is working for David, who hired her to find Franz and his money. She also reveals that David is behind the murders of the 110th members, and that he has a personal vendetta against Reacher, who he blames for his father's death.

Meanwhile, O'Donnell and Dixon are playing at the same table as David, trying to win his trust. They manage to impress him with their skills and luck, and he invites them to join him for a private game at his penthouse. They agree, hoping to get a chance to take him down.

However, things go wrong when David's men ambush them at the elevator, and take them hostage. They torture them, trying to find out who they are and why they are after David. O'Donnell and Dixon try to resist, but they are outnumbered and outgunned.

Reacher and Neagley, who are waiting outside the casino, realize that something is wrong when they don't hear from their friends. They decide to storm the penthouse, using their combat skills and weapons. They fight their way through David's guards, and reach the top floor, where they find O'Donnell and Dixon badly injured, but alive.

They also confront David, who is holding Swan at gunpoint. He tells Reacher that he has been waiting for this moment for a long time, and that he wants to make him pay for killing his father. He also says that he has one more surprise for him, and reveals that he has planted a bomb in the casino, which will go off in a few minutes, killing everyone inside.

Reacher tries to reason with David, telling him that his father was a ruthless criminal, who deserved to die. He also tells him that Swan is not loyal to him, and that she is actually working for the CIA, who sent her to infiltrate his organization. He says that he still loves her, and that he wants to help her escape.

Swan confirms Reacher's story, and says that she is sorry for betraying him. She says that she was forced to work for the CIA, who threatened to expose her past if she didn't cooperate. She says that she still has feelings for Reacher, and that she wants to be with him.

David is shocked and enraged by Swan's confession. He accuses her of lying, and says that he will kill her and Reacher. He pulls the trigger, but Reacher is faster, and shoots him in the head, killing him instantly.

Reacher and Swan embrace, and kiss. They free O'Donnell and Dixon, and help them get out of the penthouse. They also manage to defuse the bomb, and prevent the explosion. They escape from the casino, and get into a car. They drive away, leaving Atlantic City behind.
