Reacher Season 2 Episode 3 Recap

In episode 3, titled “Picture Says a Thousand Words”, Reacher, Roscoe (Willa Fitzgerald), and Finlay (Malcolm Goodwin) continue their investigation into the murder of Reacher’s brother Joe, who was a Secret Service agent working on a classified case. They learn that Joe was chasing an international counterfeiting ring that had somehow infiltrated Margrave. They also find out that the other body found with Joe belonged to a trucker named Pete Jobling, who had a connection to a lawyer in Atlanta. Reacher decides to go to Atlanta to question the lawyer, while Finlay searches the house of Spivey, a corrupt prison guard who works for the Teale family, the main suspects in the case. Roscoe stays behind to protect Hubble (Marc Bendavid), a banker who was framed for the murder and is now in danger.

In Atlanta, Reacher confronts the lawyer, who reveals that he was hired by a man named Kliner, who runs a shipping company and is the leader of the counterfeiting operation. Reacher manages to get the address of Kliner’s warehouse, where he hopes to find evidence and answers. Meanwhile, Finlay breaks into Spivey’s house and finds a stash of counterfeit bills, as well as a photo of Spivey with Kliner and his son. Finlay realizes that Spivey is working for Kliner, and that the Teales are not the masterminds behind the scheme, but rather pawns. Finlay calls Reacher and tells him to be careful, as Kliner is more dangerous than he thought.

At the warehouse, Reacher is ambushed by Kliner and his men, who capture him and torture him for information. Reacher refuses to talk, and tries to escape, but is overpowered. Kliner reveals that he killed Joe because he was getting too close to his operation, and that he plans to kill Reacher as well. He also says that he has a mole in the Secret Service, who has been feeding him information and sabotaging Joe’s investigation. Reacher is shocked to learn that the mole is none other than Molly Beth Gordon (Megan Park), Joe’s colleague and lover, who had contacted Roscoe earlier and offered to help. Kliner says that Molly Beth is on her way to Margrave, where she will kill Roscoe, Finlay, Hubble, and anyone else who knows too much.
